Half Street is Teague Sobin on Vocals & Guitar. Brian Hawkins on Drums, Harmonica, & Keys. Jason Oakley on Guitar. Lee Russell on Bass. Half Street was formed in 2018 with Teague Sobin is the primary songwriter. Brian Hawkins and Jason Oakley help to polish the songs and come up with riffs and lyrics on new songs which we all work on together. If someone has an idea we give it a shot. If it works we keep it. If not we keep working on the song until everyone is happy with the final product. Most of the songs are stories of Teague’s life where he spent some time as a kid growing up in the Projects on Half Street in Washington DC. It was a brutal time for him and his family, and a good subject for the Blues. Half Street’s sound can be described as Alt Blues Rock. With an electrifying guitar slide sound that pulses through the body with a strong rocking backbeat that is sure to move the crowd. It’s got the feel of revved-up delta blues to it.
